Hesitant to write a review because this is secretly our favourite provincial park in BC. So easy to walk up and snag a spot, super friendly locals. Great walking trails

. dog-friendly park is quite large, although its put off at the back, its quite large compared to most places

We had an overnight camping at this campground.. the facilities are very good, clean and beautiful. The lakeside is awesome with lots of benches etc.. campsite number 21 was the best.. a quick short small access to lake, children's play area is just behind and great view of the lake..

. Although the sites are nice, I'd caveat it that for RV'ers or trailers they seem to be backwards. We had to turn around so we could pull in face first. We walked the park and it seemed like most sites were like this. They should reverse the route.

No matter how often I visit Merritt I always have a day at monck park and it's never bad. The beach is clean, the water is clean and weed free and excellent swimming with friendly people all around. Definitely a good time all the time.

We are a class A 36' RV with 3 late teens, a car, and a dog. The kids slept in 2 tents. We stayed for 2 nights during a 2 week loop through BC. Monck is a regular stop for us as its very affordable and as with most prov sites, they are spacious, well groomed, and in Monck's case, an amazing view from most sites. Points lost are no fault of the park, the lake is just super cold and this time around it had a heavy, green bloom that we had to shower off.

Really nice, kind of out of the way, and a real gem of a place in an area you would expect dry near desert like conditions. Well laid out, quiet, clean, flush toilets in the outhouses, potable water from all the sinks and outdoor taps, lots of beach, hiking and biking areas and magnificent view of the nighttime sky. Really kid friendly, Will be going back.

. There is a dog beach area, but its way at the back of the park and kinda crappy to be honest. The small beach area for dogs was dirty and not well maintained.

. green bloom in the water when we were there. Getting out of the lake you could see the fringe on our bodies. We had to use the outdoor shower on the RV to wash it off
